Today, May 31, I went to volunteer at the Fireman's Burn Victim Fund Picnic at Greendell Community Centre. It is one of the events that takes place every year to raise money to help improve the burn victim units in Winnipeg hospitals. It is run by MLA Christine Melnick. I had a great time painting little kids faces into everything imaginable from tigers and dragons to some more interesting choices like race cars. It took some of my creativity skills but was so much fun. There were 4 hours of local entertainment including my mom's clogging group. There was a 9 year old boy who sang beautifully, you wouldn't even know he wasn't a professional. I had to leave early unfortuanatly because I had to go to my other, less fun job.
